How much is the energy tax credit for new windows?

30% of the window purchase cost, up $1,500.

 

When does the energy tax credit expire?

All energy-efficient windows must be installed by December 31, 2010.

 

Which products qualify?

All Stanek UltraExtreme™ windows and selected patio doors qualify for the energy tax credit. Product requirements to qualify must have a U-factor and SHGC of 0.30 or below. This information can be found on the NFRC label.

What paperwork do I have to save and submit to receive the energy tax credit?

You will need to keep your NFRC Label from each product, along with the sales receipt. These documents must be submitted when preparing your taxes, along with TaxForm5695.pdf.

 

Please also include this Official Letter for All Qualifying Stanek Products, when filing for your 2009/2010 Federal Tax Credit for Energy Efficiency Refund. What is not covered in the energy tax credit?

The tax credit does not include installation or tax costs.

*Energy-efficient windows must be installed in an existing home and your principal residence.

New construction and rentals do not qualify.
