The curb appeal of this charming home in East Troy, Wis., was being negatively impacted by an older, cloudy picture window and wood rot around the existing frame. The window was cloudy due to seal failure which also allowed air infiltration causing higher energy bills.

Because Stanek® windows are custom designed and manufactured, the window was made to fit the opening exactly. In addition, the inside sill of the picture window was widened to provide a sunning spot for the homeowners’ cats.
The white picture window is flanked by casement windows on either side for easy cleaning and ventilation. Now the homeowners and their cats can enjoy summer breezes and a clear view of the neighborhood. The strong and durable BetterVue™ screens offer improved visibility, air flow and protection from insects when compared to standard mesh screens.
When the Wisconsin weather turns cold, Stanek’s standard 1 1/8-inch-thick insulated glass keeps the family warm and cozy. The easy-turn, fold-down handles provide smooth and easy operation of the windows and don’t obstruct the window treatments. To complete the update on this home, the Stanek® window experts also installed new gutters and downspouts.
